Jim Galvin

Jim Galvin joined Roche's Feeds in 1987 as a Sales Representative. Having been with the company for 25 years, Jim has built up a wealth of experience within the industry and has built up an impressive portfolio of customers and many many friends over the years. Jim is actively involved in the farming community and has completed an advanced certificate in dairying. Today Jim covers many areas including parts of Limerick, Tipperary and Cork.

 John Malone

John Malone

John Malone is another well establised Sales Representative that joined Roche's Feeds in the 1980's. John is originally from Limerick but has lived in Thurles for the last 12 years. Since joining the company he covered Clare and Galway at first building up a vast client base, he later moved to Limerick - Tipperary and Cork areas building up an extensive customer base which today is continually growing. John Canny

John Canny

John Canny is another one of Roche's Feeds' accomplised Sales Representatives. John comes from Feakle, Co Clare which he has built up his sale profile from around this area and also in neighbouring counties Galway and South Mayo. John has worked in the Animal Feed Industry for 25 years and has a B.Agr.Sc Degree.

John started his career in the North Leinster Area and in 1998, joined Roche's Feeds, where he has built up an extensive customer base with both individual farmers and also merchants

Richard Gleeson

Richard Gleeson

Richard Gleeson joined Roche's Feeds in 2001 as a Sales Representative. Richard hails from Hospital, Co Limerick and comes from a farming backround. Richard has completed a course in Pallaskenry College in Advanced Agriculture. At present Richard serves parts of Tipperary, West Limerick, East Limerick and Cork.

Richard is readily available to offer advice and his expertise to all his customers new and existing and prides himself in offering a prompt service to all customers in all areas.

 Alymer Power

Alymer Power

Alymer joined Roche's Feeds in January 2005. He is from a farming backround based in Askeaton, Co Limerick and has completed a FETAC Level 3 Vocational Certificate in Agriculture in Gurteen Agricultural College. Before joining the company Alymer had travelled to New Zealand and Australia to study Dairy and Sheep farming and worked for a large wool exporter.

Alymer's family farm consists mainly of pedigree sheep, eg: Suffolk, Charollais and Hampshire Down, the Power family also have a highly rated Pedigree Aberdeen Angus Herd. From the family farm he has gained valuable practical knowledge in animal nutrition which has stood to him in the sale of animal feed.

Since joining the company Alymer has built up a substantial customer base which is still continuing to grow today. He serves the Cork and Limerick area and also branches off into parts of Kerry.

John O'Brien

John O'Brien

John joined the Roche's Feeds Sales Team in January 2010. He comes from a dairy farming background in Ogonolloe, Co. Clare. John has completed a FETAC Level 3 Vocational Certificate in Agriculture as well as a FETAC Level 6 Certificate in Animal Nutrition. Since joining the company, John has built up a large customer base mainly in East Clare and North Tipperary. John prides himself on delivering a first class customer service along with first class feed to new and existing customers.

Larry Browne

Larry Browne

Larry joined the Roche's Feeds Sales Team in January 2010. Larry comes from a dairy and beef family farm in Caherconlish, Co. Limerick. Because of his background, he has first hand experience with farming and what is required to sustain a healthy herd through feeding. Since joining the company, Larry has generated a substantial customer base that is continually growing. Areas that Larry covers include North Kerry, West Limerick and East Limerick.

Donal Costello

Donal joined Roche's Feeds Sales Team in January 2013. Donal comes from a dairy farming background in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. He has an extensive customer base stretching from North Tipperary to Laois, Offaly and parts of Kilkenny and because of his first hand farming experience is able to deliver a valuable service to all his customers.

Kevin Hanrahan

Paddy McCarthy

Paddy joined the Roche's Feeds team in 2013. He is a nutritionist and also works in the sales field. This year he helped the Hannan's in Crecora to the title of National Herd Winner 2015. Shane Canavan

Shane has rejoined the company and has entered the Sales Force in November 2015. He originally worked in Roche's Feeds in 2010 in an office capacity and left to gain valuable experience in the field. He has now rejoined the company and is based in the Co. Clare region.

Roches Feeds - Grass Watch Week 39

Samples for week 39 were taken on the 24/9/18. Grass Growth remains good for the time of year with grass proteins also remaining high due to most farmers continuing to spread chemical fertilizer. Grass quality overall remains good with ME also remaining high. The biggest issue will be Dry matters and ensuring cows are fully fed. It is very important farmers take DM % into account when measuring and allocating grass. For every 1% reduction in DM below 18%, intake is reduced by 0.34kgDM. For example when DM is reduced from 19.1% to 13.6% grass intake is reduced by 1.5kgDM which is ~ 17 MJ which equates to a milk loss of approximately 3.2 litres. ... Read More »
